Abstract of Blog
If it wasn’t already clear through the abundant use of phones and other forms of technology on a regular basis by humans; we depend strongly on robotics and our dependence will only grow as the capabilities of technologies enhance. The introduction of robotics into ‘natural’ human life is accepted by several people, particularly those residing in Japan, China, European countries, and Korea. Regardless of the robotics industry’s success and acceptance by various countries; some countries foresee that issues will arise from such heavy interaction with robotics, and refrain from adapting their uses to natural life. This blog post will discuss various pieces of media that go into detail about different instances in which robotic technology has been applied to human life or used by humans, the introduction of technologies we don’t even consider to be robots (Alexa and Roomba devices), the consequences that could potentially arise from human’s adopting robotics into their daily life (in the workplace or any other social space), and the kind of services existing robots can provide for humans. Besides just collecting and providing an analysis of various media sources, an interview was conducted to express a non-bias perspective on the current state of the robotics industry.
